SaveGame Director adds two tabs under the shared Tools > Director Suite menu.
SaveGame Director Runtime Inspector
Section titled “SaveGame Director Runtime Inspector”Path: Tools > Director Suite > Runtime Inspectors > SaveGame Director Runtime Inspector
Role: Strictly read-only observation of a selected live PIE or Game Instance context.
The Inspector displays the selected Game Instance and world, network mode, subsystem lifecycle/readiness, autosave state and slot, blocker and contributor counts, retained diagnostic events, operation summaries, and warnings. It shows recent event and warning metadata, including timestamps, status/code, slot, and bounded summary text.
Freeze view pauses automatic refresh and keeps the displayed snapshot. Copy Snapshot copies the displayed snapshot to the clipboard. These actions change only the Inspector’s presentation or clipboard contents. Refresh captures the current state again. Open Runtime Controls opens the Controls tab; opening it does not issue a runtime command.
The Inspector does not save or load slots, change autosave state or configuration, clear diagnostics or warnings, or otherwise change the observed SaveGame Director subsystem. It constructs no runtime mutation commands.
SaveGame Director Runtime Controls
Section titled “SaveGame Director Runtime Controls”Path: Tools > Director Suite > Runtime Controls > SaveGame Director Runtime Controls
Role: Explicit live control of the selected Game Instance.
Save and Load
Section titled “Save and Load”- Save submits the existing SaveGame Director save operation for the selected slot. It writes the selected Game Instance’s current persistent state. The overwrite checkbox controls whether an existing slot may be replaced; configured backup behavior remains in effect.
- Load submits the existing load operation after a confirmation prompt. A load can restore saved Actor, component, subobject, and contributor state into the selected Game Instance, replacing values currently in play. Map policy and restore preflight still apply.
Autosave
Section titled “Autosave”- Start Autosave applies the requested interval and starts the Game Instance scheduler when current settings and lifecycle allow it. Scheduled autosaves may write persistent state to rotating slots.
- Stop Autosave stops future scheduling. It does not cancel an operation already in progress.
- Trigger Autosave Now submits an immediate autosave through the normal operation coordinator and may write persistent state.
Retained diagnostics and warnings
Section titled “Retained diagnostics and warnings”Clear Diagnostics removes retained diagnostic events for the selected Game Instance. Clear Warnings removes its retained warning history. These actions clear history only; they do not change saved data or live gameplay state.
The context selector, search/filter fields, visibility toggles, and view preferences are presentation controls. They do not change runtime SaveGame Director state. See Troubleshooting for interpreting operation results and warnings.
