API Overview

The public API is provided by the DirectorBridgeCore Runtime module. Integration modules describe their contract with FDirectorBridgeIntegrationDescriptor and register through the DirectorBridge lifecycle/registry APIs. The descriptor carries a stable FDirectorBridgeIntegrationId, FDirectorBridgeContractVersion, participant owner IDs, and scope. Required plugin/version constraints are evaluated before an adapter becomes active.

Adapters should retain the returned registration handles for their lifetime, commit only after their setup succeeds, and release all handles during shutdown. Consumers can query copied integration snapshots from the Core registry and subscribe to its read-only change notifications. The registry coordinates status; it does not own Director gameplay state.

The Editor’s Integration Inspector reads those snapshots. It is not a runtime control API. See the supported integration contracts before implementing an adapter.
